A strategic win for a key player in industrial connected systems
SNCF, France’s leading rail operator, has recently awarded Technilog a national framework contract for the delivery of a railway data supervision, acquisition, and transmission solution. This strategic contract is part of a large-scale modernization program launched more than a decade ago, aimed at strengthening the safety, reliability, and operational intelligence of the rail network.
Thanks to a robust technology offering and a proven ability to integrate complex systems at national scale, Technilog stood out among competitors and became a trusted partner of SNCF.
The DevI/O platform driving rail performance
At the heart of the project lies DevI/O, Technilog’s platform designed for the collection, supervision, and analysis of large volumes of critical data across the entire rail network.
Deployment at a glance:
- 80 DevI/O racks deployed across France
- More than 100 railway assets integrated
- 1 million variables and alarms continuously collected
With this solution, SNCF gains a real-time view of the condition of its infrastructure (switches, track circuits, signals, and more), as well as an intelligent alerting capability to anticipate potential incidents.
Proactive and intelligent supervision
Technilog’s solution goes far beyond simple data acquisition. It includes advanced features such as:
- Detection of switch inconsistencies and critical alarms
- Industrial IoT (IIoT) integration to anticipate weather conditions and onboard incidents in high-speed trains
- Crosswind management, with targeted alert triggering
These capabilities enable SNCF to improve responsiveness, enhance maintenance planning, and ensure a higher level of rail traffic safety.
An open, resilient, and interoperable architecture
To guarantee maximum availability, Technilog implemented a redundant infrastructure based on active/passive servers. At the same time, the solution ensures full interoperability through CT503 and OPC UA protocols, enabling seamless integration with existing systems, including Mistral NG, SNCF’s supervision platform.
The addition of the certified CSI software also provides in-depth performance analysis and optimized data archiving for long-term monitoring.
French expertise recognized by major industry players
By winning this tender, Technilog confirms its position as a leading player in industrial IoT and real-time supervision. The company relies on a strong ecosystem, working alongside top-tier technology partners such as Alstom, Hitachi, and Vossloh.
This ability to bring together expertise around a national-scale project further strengthens Technilog’s role as a key pillar in the digital transformation of French rail infrastructure.
A long-term partnership with SNCF
This project represents only one milestone in a long-term modernization strategy. With the rise of predictive analytics, smart sensors, embedded intelligence, and industrial cybersecurity, SNCF is committed to continuous innovation.
Through its vision, technology, and long-term commitment, Technilog is fully aligned with this strategy and intends to support SNCF in building the railway network of the future.
